10 Games That Can Give You Over 100 Hours Of Gameplay

In our current climate of economic depression and mass penny pinching, we’re all looking for ways to save a bit of bob now and then. I took the extreme route for this when it comes to food shopping, to the point where I haven’t eating anything aside from tins of baked beans for the past year. I’m sure some would argue that I could buy real food if I stopped forking out for games, but I think we’d all agree that having fun is more important than nutrition.

Good health is overrated, but you can’t argue with having a good time. That said, there are times when even gaming budgets have to take a hit, so we’ve compiled a list of games that will offer you as much bang for your buck as possible. Some are old and cost effective, some are new and more expensive, but all of them ought to offer you hundreds of hours of solid gameplay.

Stay tuned for more news and updates.

Chrono trigger isnt that long 40hrs or so. You can easily breeze thru the mulitple endings after that cuz you’re already leveled up , no dynamic leveling in this game. The writer doesnt know jack!

escape velocity (made by AmbrosiaSW). i still play the last one (nova) every once in a while. by the description, it sounds like Elite might have been EV’s inspiration.

Pokemon, Monster Hunter, (If multiplayer counts) Star Wars: Battlefront, Mass Effect, Xenoblade Chronicles (hopefully the sequels has even more), Mario Kart, and even Kingdom Hearts. If nothing else from m list, MONSTER HUNTER. G-Rank is proof that that game has hundreds of hours of play. I am about 300 hours in (don’t judge me, I’m boring) and I JUST made it to G-Rank.

FFXII is THE worst example of a Final Fantasy game having lots of gameplay. It doesn’t, actually. It’s just glorified collection quests. And since combat in the game is so clunky unless you let it play itself, there’s just no feeling of immersion to any of it. Add to that the excruciatingly political plot… You see where I’m going with this? The “playability” in FFXII is just a hook to torture the player. I felt abused by that game more than any other I have ever played.

A couple are missing – Little Big Planet series offers unlimited gameplay due to the users always creating content, as well as Persona 4 Golden for the Vita – well over 100 hrs

Does someone know were the art from the thumb of this article is from? (very disappointed I couldn’t see this awesome picture completely)

To the topic, so many gaming franchises in which you can spend hours.. like, Baldurs Gate I and II, specially thanks to the awesome modding community these Games have..
The Suikoden Franchise is also not to bad in this regard..
Shin Megami is of course another one, I love their Games so much..

and you can go on and go on, only picking 10 gaming franchises is hard.
