“War. War never changes.”- All Fallout Games

This monologue sounds awesome every single time I hear it, and it isn’t even the best version of “War never changes.” And yet, every time I hear or read those words, my heart skips a beat, because every time I’ve read them in a video game, an experience like none other, one that I don’t soon forget, has fallowed. So automatically, every time I think of the words “War never changes”, I think of awesomeness.

“It’s dangerous to go alone! Take this.” -Old guy, The Legend of Zelda

With just a shield equipped, you walk into a random house, and a random old dude hands you your first weapon ever, saying it’s dangerous to go out there alone. And that, my friends, is how you get your first ever sword in the first ever Zelda game. Tell me how that isn’t memorable. Who wouldn’t remember how you got your first freaking weapon in a game that kicked off one of the most legendary franchises ever? Not me.

“Hey! Listen!” Navi, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

I know your ears suddenly started hurting you and your brain melted upon reading this, but at the end of the day, when we all look back at Ocarina of Time, we remember Navi’s irritating voice more fondly than with frustration, no matter how much we wanted to pull out our hair at that time. Well, I sure wouldn’t want to listen to ten hours of “Hey! Listen!”, but you’ve gotta admit that this quote is memorable, if for the wrong reasons.

“You spoony bard!” Tellah, Final Fantasy IV

Some would say this was poor writing on Square Enix’s part, and that it ruined the cutscene somewhat. I disagree. This is probably the most memorble dialogue in the entire game, and for good reason. This single quote resembles what Tellah’s character was all about- pure, wacky awesomeness. And Tellah being my favourite character in the game apart from Kain, this is a very memorable moment in the game for me.
