Actually, your health did regenerate - but only if you had either the First Aid or Medic mod for your armoured suit.

Of course, Medi-gels regenerated a set amount of health - but that depended on your team-member's best First Aid skill. You could only carry up to 6 Medi-gels.

Fallout 3 already did this and mass effect was way off from coming close to moving that bar up. It was good but not setting the bar high good.

@UltimateChase

Shields regenerated, not health. Medi-gels healed your health. The regenerating health they're talking about for Mass Effect 2 is like COD4's or Gears2's health regen.

Basically, it would be just like halo 2/3.

Uhh...what? There where "health packs" in Mass Effect and no automatic health regeneration? That's weird, because I'm pretty sure that the opposite is true. I must have misread what you were saying because in Mass Effect your health automatically regenerates if you don't get hit for a little while, though it does allow you to carry a limited number of "medi-gels" which you can use to heal yourself during combat. Anyway, whatever. I'm totally pumped about Mass Effect 2, even though "Subject Zero," "Grunt," and "Thane," are retarded names for characters. I think it's really cool that the new game is moving towards a darker theme and cast, but I hope it doesn't over do it or do it in predictable or cliche way.
