In keeping with its schedule for updates, Nintendo has released a new update for its fighting game ARMS. This updates the game to version 2.1 which features new training exercises and some balance changes for both fighters and the overall game.

Master Mummy and Mechanica have seen some buffs with faster movement for both. The Boomerang and Coolerang Arms are also quicker while the Bubb and Buff Arms extend more slowly. For all the fighters in the game, the Rush gauge will now fill more slowly when attacks fail to connect with your opponent.

This update is the latest in several that have brought significant new additions to the game. These include new modes (like a Versus mode where several players must team up to fight another who becomes Hedlok, the final boss), a free Spectator mode, a new character in the form of Max Brass and so on.

This is in keeping with Nintendo’s promise of all post-launch content for the game being free. Thus far, the Nintendo Switch has shipped almost 5 million units since launching in March. ARMS has sold more than 1 million copies since launching in mid June.
