Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is going to look really pretty on the PlayStation 4. Big surprise, huh?

According to Ubisoft lead content manager Carsten Myhill in conversation with DigitalSpy, “The most obvious answer is that visually [PS4 is] going to look more impressive. The horsepower allows us to make something really exceptionally beautiful.

“That’s not to say the current gen version of the game won’t be beautiful; they have been so far and we will continue with that.”

Meanwhile, Myhill said that they’re still looking to define the features for the Wii U Gamepad but noted that “it’s fair to say we’ll be using it for expecting things, like the map. But we’re always looking for new ways to incorporate and utilise this technology. I’m sure we’ll be revealing more information on that in the coming weeks.”

On the PS4’s new features, it’s confirmed that AC4 will use the touchpad but further details will be provided later.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag will release for PS3, PS4 Xbox 360, PC and Wii U on October 29th in North America.
