A new video comparing the visual quality between the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of Ubisoft Montreal’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has appeared. It’s been capturing using HDMI at 1080 resolution and compares the graphics from the in-game cut-scene from the beginning of Sequence 3. Check it out above and don’t forget to watch it in 1080p to REALLY gauge the difference.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag on the PS4 will apparently feature more advanced graphics over the PS3 version with better waves and simulated wind. Do you see any difference between the two versions?

The game is already available for the Xbox 360 and PS3, with a PC release due in the coming weeks. It will also release on November 15th in North America and November 29th in Europe for the PlayStation 4, while the Xbox One release is due on November 22nd worldwide. Wii U users in North America can enjoy the game now, while it releases in Europe on November 22nd.

The is definitely more detail put into the PS4 version. But it’s not really anything significant. The game was developed with last gen in mind so they didn’t really take advantage of the tech. Both look good IMO.

This detail? Thats how the pc version of ac3 and revelations looked compare to the console version. This has pretty much going on pc for atleast the last 3 years. The console versions looked far worse..i believe its called “myth of consle optimiation” when in realltiy its just inferior graphics.

Now xbox one is rumored to run this under 1080p. This so called “next gen” is a joke. You suppose to have alot of power but you dont. You could argue that in the future games will be more optimized. BUt in every gen they had to learn the hardware, now the hardware is x86 pc optimization, they more or less know most of it.

Doesnt matter though because games are too expensive as bioware said a true next gen experiance will need 10 milion sales, so no one is willing to do it.

So you are stuck with samey games in order to appeal to as many people as possible.

instead of making a new ip, they just took the well known creed franchise and shoved pirates and new mechanics in there. They want this game to be a sure sales and the fact they keep making those games each year shows just how expensive it has become. They to focus on gameplay or there wont be many games left in a few years.

      TL:DR
      Looks the same to me.

Then dont ever bother with graphics. its a good thing really if you dont see the diffirence.

Youtube videos does not do it justice, PS4 version is 1080p and PS3 version is 720p.

Seems like the author of this article/video comparison doesn’t think there’s that much difference. Just the vibe I get from how he wrote it. Not a very good comparison though. What matters more is the frame rate which drops considerably for ps3 in cities and is a bug fest. I hear the ps4 runs much smoother.
