Australians get identity protection offer from Sony

Posted By | On 10th, Aug. 2011

After US and EU, Sony is offering identity protection to Australian users. The PSN breach exposed 100 million credit cards and Sony had to offer identity production to Playstation users.

Dear PlayStation Network user,

We have teamed up with CSIdentity, a leading provider of global identity protection and fraud detection services to bring you peace of mind when using PlayStation Network and related services such as PlayStation Store.

With the unique voucher code contained in this email, visit sony.csidentity.com for more information about CSIdentity’s programme for eligible PSN consumers. To be eligible you must to be 18+ and have had a current PSN account on 20th April 2011. You must also register for the programme within 60 days of this email. We will pay for you to join the programme and so use the following CSIdentity services for a whole year free of charge:-

* CyberAgent internet surveillance
* Identity restoration
* Secure online sign up

Full details of the programme can be found at csidentity.com/sony

We’’ve made a number of additional improvements to PSN – visit eu.playstation.com/psnlatest and PlayStation.Blog at blog.eu.playstation.com for the latest updates.

Many consumers have already reset their passwords and are enjoying the many features and services of PlayStation Network, however, if you haven’t already done so, then you’ll need to reset your password before you can start using PSN again.

It shouldn’t take more than a few minutes and if you’d like more help you can follow the step by step guide at eu.playstation.com/psppsn.

We would like to thank you for your patience and support whilst our teams worldwide work to get the full range of PSN services back up and running.

The PlayStation Network team
