As announced earlier, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will be releasing the next title in the Batman Arkham franchise with the prequel-esque Batman: Arkham Origins. Instead of Rocksteady Studios, which handled the previous two games, Arkham Origins will be developed by Warner Bros. Montreal and release on October 25th for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC.
Being an Origins story doesn’t mean there won’t be some familiar faces though. As Game Informer has revealed, Black Mask will be the main antagonist and he’s getting every villain in Gotham to hunt down the Batman.
This includes Penguin and master assassin Deathstroke. It has been stated however, that other familiar faces will be making appearances.
Concept art and screenshots for the game showcase a younger Batman, along with some of the new environments that the cowardly and superstitious lot should try to inhabit. As it is, we’re stoked and can’t wait to see the game in action. Stay tuned for more.
