Gearbox Software has announced new details for its upcoming team-based shooter/MOBA hybrid Battleborn. Along with confirming a roster of 25 characters, a new trailer has been released. Check it out above.

Battleborn will have a story mode that can be played co-op via split-screen or online. It will be possible to finish the game solo, which leads us to believe that it will have AI companions. As for multiplayer, there will be three modes at launch – Incursion, Devastation and Meltdown. Incursion sees teams fighting against AI minions to defend their own base while destroying the opposing team’s base. Meltdown is a deathmatch mode that focuses on capturing and holding objectives.

Meltdown is intriguing as it sees your team escorting minions into the center of the map towards an incinerator. The team to score the most minions inside wins. Battleborn will seemingly be out during fiscal 2016 so it will arrive before April 2016. It will release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC so stay tuned.
