Battlefield 1

The Community Test Environment for Battlefield 1, which lets DICE push out planned updates to a smaller pool of players first to identify any errors before they are pushed out to the larger player base, is now finally available on Xbox One and PS4- so if you want to contribute to the testing of the game, and want to get updates early, and are a console player, well, now you’re in luck.

The CTE will be available only to players who also own the Premium Pass for the game- so if you don’t own that, you won’t be able to download it. If you do decide to download it, you need to head over to ‘More’ on the menu in the game, and select CTE. The download is going to be a staggering 40GB on both consoles.

Battlefield 1 itself, meanwhile, is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game has so far received one major expansion, They Shall Not Pass, with a Russia themed one, In The Name of the Tsar, coming up in September.
