Those of you who’re still waiting for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s DLC and extra content to make its way to the PS3 will take solace in the fact that Betheda is working on it. However, we’re apparently not any closer to a concrete answer.

When Pete Hines of Bethesda was asked over Twitter if the DLC was even coming to the PS3, he said  that there are “still some things to sort”. However, in a later tweet, he said: “We continue to work on it. And content will be coming to PS3. Will give details when I have them.”

Bethesda is still saying that PS3 owners will one day get to play the Dawnguard DLC, but we haven’t seen any concrete proof about that.

The newest, recently announced and upcoming Skyrim DLC, Dragonborn, will also not be making its way to the PS3 anytime soon, as it was only announced for the Xbox 360.

They are only saying this in hope that a few more suckers will buy the PS3 Skyrim for christmas. Its too glitchy to patch for DLC without redoing the engine, and the team that would be working on that has already been divided up to work on Fallout 4 and ES Online. Its a really dirty tactic, and Im sure eventually Skyrim DLC will become available (late next summer at about the time of the ES Online release…full price no doubt with lower framerates because thats the only way PS3’s low RAM can hold it). Its just a shame they dont open up and admit “Were sorry, it cant be done. Please move on, and dont buy the PS3 version if you want DLC”.
