BioShock Infinite would only work as an FPS- Ken Levine

"I love first person."

BioShock creator believes that BioShock games, including the upcoming BioShock: Infinite, could not work as anything but first person shooters.

In a recent Reddit AMA session, he said that the first person shooter is his favourite genre.

“I love first person because it gets you so close to the detail of the world,” said Levine. “[BioShock Infinite] wouldn’t work in any other perspective.”

In the same AMA session, Levine talked about what it is that makes a BioShock game what it is, what gives it its identity. He also talked about how BioShock Infinite will have more in common with the first title in the series as compared to BioShock 2.

Recently, he also said that Infinite’s ending will be unlike anything anyone has ever seen in a video game before. See the full story here.

The first few minutes of BioShock: Infinite were also recently released. Have a look at them in the video above.
