Black Mesa Updates and ARG Discussed in New Video

Curious about the awesome remake of Half Life and its status? New info abounds.

If you’re a fan of Half Life – and if you’re not, go play it and the sequel (and corresponding episodes) right now while re-evaluating the state of FPS gaming – then you’ve no doubt heard of Black Mesa. This was essentially a remake of the first game which not only gave it a brand new coat of paint, bringing the graphics up to date with the Source engine, but also added several new elements to the gameplay including a cameo by Eli Vance.

That being sad, we haven’t heard a whole lot about Black Mesa since its release more than two years ago. Thankfully, Tyler of the Valve News Network offers some new information on the game’s updates including some of the odder elements including the Pizza Code Mystery ARG.
