Blizzard Entertainment Trademarks “Overwatch”, Job Listing Reveals Unannounced Project

Blizzard Entertainment has always been focused on a select few franchises, namely StarCraft and World of Warcraft. Even with newer titles like Heroes of the Storm and Hearthstone, there is still little deviation from the usual Blizzard IPs. This may change in the coming year as the developer recently filed a trademark for “Overwatch”.

This could be the same game that Blizzard has listed as an “unannounced game title” on its recruitment page for which it requires a Lead 3D Modeler, Concept Artist, 3D Character Animator, Lead 3D Character Artist, Lead Producer, Level Designer, Senior Art Manager and VFX Artist.

It’s highly unlikely that any of this relates to Titan, a massively multiplayer game that Blizzard decided to scrap and begin from scratch on. Given the developer’s propensity for quality, Overwatch could be the next big thing. As always, stay tuned for more updates on the same and let us know your thoughts on what it could be in the comments.
