During the Public Test Realm for World of Warcraft 5.4 players have discovered an item that mentions something about a ‘In Game-Store’, so the testers have reached out to the official Battle.net forums to ask Blizzard what is going on.

Here is the official confirmation from Zarhym the Community Manager for Battle.net forums response in regards to the ‘In Game-Store’ item.

“We are currently exploring the possibility of adding a way for players in certain regions to make purchases directly within the game. As part of this process, elements related to this will be appearing on the PTR. We’ll provide additional updates on our plans as development progresses.”

Is Blizzard adding micro-transactions via in-game store similar to Guild Wars 2? However, why add micro-transactions to a game that is pay-to-play in the first place? Find out later, as the story develops.
