Borderlands Gets Its First Patch

Posted By | On 30th, Oct. 2009

Borderlands has had a couple of issues with players losing there stats or items among other things.  Gearbox has not wasted anytime to get things patched up ASAP.  The first patch for the game is coming on Thursday, October 30th at 2:00AM CST for the Xbox 360 and 11:00AM CST for the Playstation 3.  The patch won’t fix everything but Gearbox has made it clear that they are continually working on making sure all problems are fixed eventually.  Just to see a developer respond this quickly to problems found so soon after the release is always a good thing.  Even though games released with out any problems at all are ideal, they are somewhat of a rarity these days.

The Xbox 360 Patch will fix the following:
* Fixed a bug which caused players and other things in the world to appear incorrectly on clients in networked games
* fixed a bug in which players gibbed in arena combat disappeared
* fixed a bug which caused the dollars counter to spin continuously
* fixed a bug that caused the digger elevator to be unusable after completing the Find Tannis mission
* Weapon mapping to the D-pad should no longer reverse left and right
* various localization and other text and tooltip corrections
* The introductory quests with CL4P-TP should now always progress properly all the time
* Lilith’s Phase Strike ability now works as intended
* Load times have been improved
