Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Walkthrough Features Claptrap’s Random Antic

Watch and become befuddled by Claptrap's skills.

Of all the new additions in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, developed by 2K Australia and Gearbox Software, Claptrap is arguably the most significant. It’s not because you get to play as him for the first time in the franchise but rather because of his skills. Check out the narrated gameplay walkthrough above for more information.

To summarize: Not only does Claptrap not require O2 for surviving on the moon Elpis but his action skill VaultHunter.exe significantly changes up the game for players. It essentially functions as a random stat generator that can either increase reload speed and fire rate or emit an action package such as a disco ball shooting elemental lasers. Of course, there are side-effects – Claptrap could easily cause others to bounce around endlessly or suffer decreased accuracy for faster fire rate.

Regardless, it’s only another reason to look forward to Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel when it releases on October 14th in North America and October 17th in Europe.
