Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Say what you will about Activision, Sledgehammer Games and Call of Duty, I frequently do, but you can’t deny that they do have a certain established rapport which their community, for better or for worse. Micheal Condrey himself, the Studio Head of Development & Co-founder of Sledgehammer Games, often takes to Twitter to converse with fans and address queries.

In one such situation, a player asked if there was a better way of getting elites from supply drops, feeling shunned due to a run of bad luck. Condrey replied, “KD [Kill/Death Ratio] has no affect on loot. It’s based on rarity – the more you play the more you earn= higher probability of elite overtime”

He went on to assure another player that the content he unlocked was there, but not activated yet, specifically on the subject of a AE4 Widowmaker Varient. He said, “AE4 variants aren’t unlocked. You can complete the challenges, or get them through loot drops, but they aren’t active yet.”

He also explained why Face off playlist from Modern Warfare 3 won’t be making a comeback to Advanced Warfare. “It was a fun mode in MW3 & we really enjoyed it, but it requires custom maps designed for 1v1 / 2v2. The current maps are too big.”
