Call of Duty Black Ops 3

Treyarch provided a look at the eSports tools that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will offer when it releases in the next few months and some of them are quite interesting. CODCaster is back and brings its usual spectating tools to the game and there’s a new competitive system called Specialist Draft. This allows for a restriction on the total amount of specialist abilities in a match with only one player allowed to use one ability throughout.

There’s also the Ban and Protect System which can be used in private as well as competitive matches. It allows players to choose weapons to ban and protect. So if you want a specific tool, perk, ability or gun banned, you can vote for the same. Any one who relies on it will thus be unable to use it including opposing teams. You can also elect to protect something thus letting you use a gun or ability even if some one elects to ban it.

Both additions are interesting because they encourage players to mix it up every once in a while and prevent any spamming of specialist abilities throughout matches. What are your thoughts on the new eSports features? Let us know below as Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 releases on November 6th for PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
