Ubisoft’s Child of Light is approaching ever nearer and is looking better than ever. This is in part due to the UbiArt Framework engine, which was used to create the Rayman Origins/Legends series but also due to the exceptional art direction and setting. A new video gives us a closer look at Lemuria, so check it out above and let us know what you think.

Child of Light is a 2D platformer which incorporates some slight JRPG mechanics and a dark fantasy storyline to go with its whimsical art-style. It sees you playing as Aurora, who wakes up in the world of Lemuria and is tasked with taking back the sun, moon and stars from the Black Queen while reunited with her father.

Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Child of Light releases on April 30th for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U on April 30th worldwide. Stay tuned for more information as we approach release.
