Civilization 6 Still Receiving Mod Tools, Steam Workshop Support

So seriously, calm down already.

Hardcore fans of the Civilization franchise were quite miffed when Firaxis promised mod tools for Civilization 6 and they were nowhere to be around. It didn’t help that they disappeared as a listed feature from Steam. Fortunately, Firaxis’s Pete Murray has assured players that mod tools and Steam Workshop support is currently being worked on.

This was confirmed via a Twitch clip on Reddit from a recent multiplayer stream. Do yourself a favour and just watch the clip – the toxicity is still quite fresh among the community.

Civilization 6 has seen some mods released but mod tools would make the work much easier for dedicated fans of the game. The same goes for Steam Workshop support which makes it far easier to locate and install mods. Regardless, we’ll have more information on official support when it arrives.
