The Witcher: Battle Arena is a sort of MOBA set in the Witcher universe, and starring characters from the games. The game, which has specifically been created to be right at home on mobile devices, was announced a while back as a further expansion of CD Projekt RED’s flagship franchise, and today, it enters closed beta, as it will become available on Android devices.

The game has been designed to not have breaking balance, so, unlike so many other mobile games, will feature no pay to win elements, most likely opting for the kind of monetization strategy that other MOBAs pursue (where monetary unlocks are almost always cosmetic).

The Closed Beta focuses on balancing gameplay, fixing potential netcode issues and further refining in-game features. Players can choose from 8 heroes and battle it out on two maps playable in Conquest Mode, so it will actually be a reasonably full featured build of the game that players can play as they test the game out.
