Sony have officially confirmed that the CryEngine development tools from Crytek will be supported by their upcoming NGP. This was discovered when Sony announced what development tools are now available for their upcoming handheld. The list also included the popular Havok physics engine and Epic’s Unreal engine 3.

Sony are well on their way toward their goal of making NGP development “as natural as possible” with this announced list of middleware dev tool support.

Thanks to CVG for the info.

I like what they’re doing because they’re being really aggressive with their new handheld. Developers have had the kits for quite some time now so it’s pretty cool that they’re getting to know this new tech, because sony learned the hard way when they lauched the ps3 about those bullshh excuses that developers did not know how to work with the tech from the ps3. Aqua Out!!!
