Dark Souls 3: Covenants Returning, Pyromancies Confirmed

An info dump sheds light on a number of details.

Dark Souls 3

The early access embargoes for Dark Souls 3 has officially been lifted and that means that a ton of information about the game can now be made public thanks to the fact that the game is just a few weeks away from its release day. What is largely considered, though never 100 percent confirmed as the last game in the Dark Souls series, it looks like From Software is bringing back some oldies and goodies in order to endear the game to long time fans.

As Fextralife points out, Dark Souls 3 looks to be running on an engine that is remarkably similar to what we’ve seen in Bloodborne. That shouldn’t be a surprise considering that engine was a souped version of what we saw in previous Dark Souls games. One of the returning features in this game is that the developers are bringing back covenants  and the two that have actually been confirmed so far are Way of Blue and Way of White.

Pyromancies have also been confirmed as coming to the game, including the ability to conjure up “warmth.” There is actually a ton of information coming forward including character classes (11 different classes in total) and a number of different items that will either be able to be picked up, captured or purchased inside the game world. Dark Souls 3 is releasing for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC on March 24, 2016.
