Destiny 2 Faction Rally

Destiny 2’s server maintenance has wrapped and update 1.0.3 should now be available to all and sundry (on consoles, that is). Bungie’s patch notes for the same have been released and as expected, preparation for the Faction Rally has been done.

The Faction Rally sees Guardians pledging to a single faction in the Tower among Dead Orbit, Future War Cult and New Monarchy. Earn faction tokens from Strikes, Public Events, Lost Sectors, the raid, etc. and turn them in for packages. The faction with the most packages wins and its supporters can avail of a discount on the featured weapon. The event goes like at 2 AM PST so keep your eyes peeled.

The update also fixes a number of bugs like clan XP not being given for completing Public Events, players not receiving their weekly clan engrams and players being given resurrection tokens when joining raid encounters in progress. The last part was apparently unintentional.

You can check out some of the bug fixes below and the full patch notes for update 1.0.3 here.

UI

  • Fixed an issue in which Hunters with a specific amount of health would see their health bar on the HUD at all times

Activities

  • Fixed issue in the raid that granted resurrection tokens unintentionally to players joining encounters in progress
  • Fixed an issue in which killing the first Minotaur too quickly in the Unbreakable Adventure would result in progression being blocked

Clans

  • Fixed an issue where clan XP was not being granted for completing public events
  • Fixed an issue preventing some player from receiving weekly clan engrams
  • Players who leave a clan will still not be eligible for clan rewards that week
