Destiny
Earlier, a trademark had been filed for Destiny of Spirits by Sony. An image also began doing the rounds, showcasing the current logo for Bungie’s Destiny, a persistent online shooter to be published by Activision for Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4. It showcased the game also being slated for release on PlayStation Vita. Confused?

Well, Bungie responded to the Destiny of Spirits image, and stated to IGN that the image was fake. The first clue was the old Bungie logo used at the bottom. The developer stated that “when we actually announce something, we’ll use our current logo.”

As for Destiny of Spirits, the game has no relation at all to Bungie’s Destiny. It is owned by Sony and shares no affiliation whatsoever to Bungie’s project.

Better luck next time Internet.

Bungie’s Destiny is slated to release in 2014 for current and next gen consoles, with some new detailed alluded to on May 21st when Microsoft unveiled the next Xbox.
