Fusion rifles are waiting to be "discovered" apparently.

Crucible Radio recently had a chat with Destiny sandbox designers Sage Merrill and Jon Weisnewski about all things PvP centered. As part one of their conversation, Merrill and Weisnewski discussed many long-standing issues with the game’s competitive multiplayer aspects.

Many of these are current on-going issues like matchmaking, which Bungie is aware of but still has no response to, and lag, which the developer is capable of replicating in its tests to mirror actual games. How Bungie intends to fix these issues wasn’t discussed nor were there any discussions about fusion rifles which have continuously nerfed since the game’s release.

According to Weisnewski though, fusion rifles are yet to be “discovered” by players, which seems to indicate that their potential has yet to be exploited.

It’s a rather interesting discussion that even extends to the decisions behind buffs and nerfs. Head here to listen to the whole thing and let us know what you think in the comments.
