Destiny The Taken King Now Available Worldwide

The battle against Oryx and the Taken begins today.

Destiny: The Taken King is finally available worldwide for current and previous gen console owners. Oryx beckons, Guardians.

The new expansion adds a substantial new amount of content to Destiny including new story missions, Exotic quests, bounties, a new Strike playlist, a new enemy race (The Taken) and of course, a brand new raid called King’s Fall. The raid isn’t currently live – you’ll have to wait until September 18th to take part in it.

It should be noted that if you don’t own The Taken King, it will be substantially harder to acquire new Legendary gear, access the new Crucible modes and maps or even take part in the Weekly Heroic, which is now it’s own separate playlist. If you’re keen on continuing your adventures in Destiny, then you’ll have to fork over $39.99.
