DICE: Battlefield 3 To Be as ‘Balanced as Humanly Possible’

Posted By | On 25th, May. 2011

Alan Kertz, Senior Gameplay Designer on Battlefield 3 has responded to some concerns raised by fans. Ever since DICE announced the Battlefield 3 “Physical Warfare Pack”, some gamers have been frustrated by the added advantage that this pack will give. The pack will provide stealth abilities to recon soldiers and armor piercing ammo for the shotgun. Obviously many gamers think this will disturb the balance of the game.”

However Alan Kertz calmed down gamers by tweeting the following:

“And of course, to be crystal clear: There’s no way to increase the damage you do either. I want BF3 to feel as balanced as humanly possible.”

He further clarified stating that there is no way one can increase or decrease the damage when someone shoots you:

“Further Body Armor clarification: There is no way in BF3 to either increase your health or lower the damage you take from bullets. Period.”

This should hopefully calm down all who are looking forward to Battlefield 3.

And for those who are unaware about the Battlefield 3 Limited Edition: Physical Warfare Pack, then check this out.
