“Don’t fall for the Halo 4 beta scam” – Microsoft

Posted By | On 19th, Jan. 2012

We know how much popular Halo is, and especially when the series gets a mainline game. It’s obvious that people will be desperate to get a glimpse of the game or get some early keys for the say, a beta, which is a popular tactic by developers to showcase the game and also to fix bugs.

343 Industries are behind the development of Halo 4, and considering that the game will be released this year for the Xbox 360, it’s no surprise that a beta could follow early in the year, just like Halo: Reach, but we do not have any official confirmation about this yet.

David Ellis of 343 Industries has warned people that most of the invites you may see for the game for the beta are fakes. And you shouldn’t take them seriously as they are not official.

“If you see a page claiming to allow you to sign up for a Halo 4 beta be advised, IT’S A FAKE,” he said.

So, please wait for an official announcement by Microsoft before spending money on keys or anything like that. Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
