DOOM PC System Requirements and Pre-Load Timings Revealed

An additional 45 GB of files has to be downloaded for Steam players.

id Software has released specifics on the PC system requirements for DOOM.

Minimum specifications include ; Intel Core i5-2400/AMD FX-8320 or higher, 8 GB of RAM, an Nvidia GTX 670 2GB or AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or higher, 55 GB of hard disc space and Internet for activation through Steam. Oddly enough, the game will require the download of additional files from Steam totaling 45 GB to run the game.

Recommended specifications have the same condition except you’ll need an Intel Core i7-3770/AMD FX-8350 or higher, 8 GB RAM, and an Nvidia GTX 970 4GB or AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB or higher.

Pre-loading will begin at 12 AM local time on May 11th for Steam and PS4 while Xbox One owners can pre-load the game now. Console owners will need roughly 50 GB of space for the install. DOOM will launch at 12 AM local time for New Zealand, Australia, North America, Europe and Asia on May 13th. Japan will receive it on May 19th at 12 AM local time.
