driveclub ps4

Evolution Studios’ DriveClub had one of the most troubled and disastrous launches in recent memory- the game launched with a plethora of network issues and missing functionality, causing it to simply not function as advertised, as well as the embarrassing delay of the PS+ version for nearly a year- and this was after the game itself had been delayed for very nearly a year to begin with.

But Evolution Studios stuck to their guns, and continued to work on the game, patching back promised features, giving massive free content updates, and also (finally) releasing the PS+ version. All of that work seems to have paid off- DriveClub is now at 2 million units sold worldwide, making it one of the highest selling games on the PS4, and also one of the most successful new IP launches of the generation, ahead of heavy hitters like Bloodborne and Splatoon.

As an eventual convert to the DriveClub cause, I can say I am very happy. Hopefully Evolution continues with its good work on the game.

People so desperate for games they take a 30FPS clunker that looks like a PS2 game when you remove the motion blur.

PS4 truly has no games. Guess 60FPS is exclusive to PC this generation :^)

    • Psionicinversion

xbox one does 60fps so that makes it more advanced than the ps4 :d

  • Such a mediocre game. You can’t even mod the vehicles and the A.I. is terrible.

    • However, the environments do look rich though…. but it’s not on the same level as Forza or GT series.

It’s the best looking racer by far this gen and it’s extremely under rated.

People seem to be unfairly judging it without playing it by comparing it to other racers. It’s not a sim like Project Cars, and it’s also not an arcade like Need For Speed or Forza. And it’s not a sandbox like The Crew.

Driveclub is it’s own thing. It’s about competition online and setting records. The game has a ton of content and the tracks alone make it worthwhile.

    • Psionicinversion

forza is not an arcade racer hahaha its a sim, driveclub is more comparable to need for speed dude

    • *Also On PC

The new Need For Speed looks so better than DowngradeClub its comical. And that’s in game and not bullshots. Maybe if EA don’t have a silly 30FPS lock I’ll look at it again.

Driveclub truly is a Forza killer indeed.

    • Psionicinversion

yeah makes Forza die of laughter at how pathetic driveclub is :d

    • ultraviolet

trying to compare Driveclub and Forza is like comparing Bodycount and Battlefield

    • *Also On PC

Best looking Racer? Not when Project CARS on PC exists, John Derp. Oh and the new Need For Speed looks far better and will be 60FPS on PC too :^)

Wow, that looks like crap, always knew Sony shills were talking BS.

  • GamerJudge

2 million units and in VGchartz it says 1.70 million, not only that but PS4 has sold 25 million while VGChartz has it at 23.8 million…I rest my case with VGChartz not being a reliable source.

Never was, yet Sony shills like to twist everything whenever it suits them.

    • Psionicinversion

25million is shipped not sold to customers though even though shipped is technically still sold to stores. the 25mill is part of the financial statement specifically for investors/shareholders not us so it needs to put down how many shipped to show the companies financial position.

This game is terrible and they were selling it for £8 new in the UK.

Sales in the first month are the only sales you can judge how well a game has done because if after that the pre order fools don’t figure in the numbers and if it’s a turd they reduce the price massively after that giving a false sense that the game is selling well on merit rather then reduced price.

They also have enormous amounts of pre owned versions that they are desperately trying too get rid of, I think 1.5 million people must of traded it in.
