Drugs Hidden in PlayStation

Posted By | On 01st, Jan. 2010

In an incident reported by an Italian website, PlayStation consoles were being used for shipping cocaine throughout the country. The drugs were also hidden using cheese boxes and chocolate packages. The authorities arrested five international couriers along with ten kilograms of cocaine and hashish. Three Romanians from Caracas, in particular, had cocaine sewn into their coats and a pair of Argentinians from Buenos Aires, who concealed the white powder  in the PlayStation consoles in order to hide it from the authorities. The drugs were hidden deep in to the console hardware and the authorities had to use German Shepard Dogs to sniff the drugs out.

The Italian authorities also added that although passenger traffic has increased in this period, forming part of an obstacle to control activity, they managed to block the five foreigners stuffed with drugs who had hidden the drugs in PlayStation, cheese and chocolate boxes.

According to the provincial command of the Guardia di Finanza in 2009, the authorities have seized over 1,300 kilograms of drugs, had 524 persons arrested  along with 348 alleged drug traffickers.

It seems the statement for the PlayStation: “It’s simply does everything” is quite true after all.
