Frontier Developments’ Elite: Dangerous has received a new free update which puts the game at version 1.1. It includes French, German and Russian localization along with some improvements to the visuals that better represents the Milky Way galaxy. Check out what the update offers in the above video.

One of the biggest additions comes in the form of new Community Goals which allow people to play objectives together. This will be a part of a new story which can be experienced in single-player, multiplayer or in private groups. You’ll also be able to plan routes for up to 1,000 light years which should make for even more interesting journeys.

Update 1.2 is due in early March and will focus primarily on allowing players to group together better and locate friends. More information on the multiplayer aspects will be discussed in the coming weeks so stay tuned for more information and tell us your thoughts on update 1.1 in the comments.
