Everspace

Rockfish’s Everspace, a 3D shooter with a non-linear story and rogue-like elements similar to Freelancer, is heading to Xbox One thanks to ID@Xbox. It’s been announced that the crowd-funded title will be out on Xbox One and PC in 2016. The creators have previously released Galaxy on Fire and Galaxy on Fire 2 to strong critical reception on mobiles.

Rockfish CEO Michael Schade told Xbox Wire that, “You could say that it is a lovechild of FTL: Faster Than Light and Freelancer, which resonates really well with our new and old fans alike. But also Rogue Legacy and The Binding of Isaac – which are fantastic rogue-likes that made us come up with some new ideas, for a new breed of space shooter.”

The Xbox One is building up a rather impressive portfolio of space sims with Elite: Dangerous also available on the console. What are your thoughts on the addition of Everspace? Let us know in the comments.
