With PS4 players still waiting on Bethesda to make mods available for Fallout 4 (Xbox One players got them earlier this year), a lot of fans have been getting antsy, and are now waiting on some real information that might tell them when they will be able to enjoy the riches of the pastures of modding.

Earlier this week it was already confirmed by Bethesda that mods on PS4 are currently ‘under evaluation.’ This, of course, seems to imply that they may be done, and that they are waiting on them being greenlit by Sony. However, the news here is about a possible beta- Hines is not sure whether there may be a beta for mods on the PS4 once the feature is out of evaluation. He was unable to share any more information than that, stating that he has very little to do with the evaluation process.

After such a long wait, these mods really better be worth it. Fallout 4 is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

If one measly, restricted feature for a half-assed, rugged game can turn you off an entire console your priorities need evaluating. Not to mention that your new choice of console is just a more expensive, ugly and less powerful pc.

I got my PS4 as a gift so have been reluctant to upgrade because I didn’t want to seem ungrateful, but after seeing how FO4 plays on PC vs the consoles the writing is on the wall. Sony’s unwillingness to cooperate with Bethesda is just sort of the final straw. Going to be upgrading to a gaming PC later this year.

If one little comment about me buying an XBOX gets you all worked up, then your priorities need evaluating. There’s nothing wrong with XBOX, I’ve been trying to decide which one to buy and I want to play the Mods, so why shouldn’t I.

Don’t let that prepubescent 10 year old get to you, mods make the game because you can tailor your experience based on which ones you have installed. And quite frankly the “fallout mods on ps4 problems” is less bothersome than Sonys reaction and part in this whole situation. They have thrown up roadblocks which have complicated bringing mods to ps4. While I’m sure there is also blame on bethsedas part it’s not red tape type of blame. Programming can eventually be worked out. It seems like PlayStation is getting the short end of the stick yet again like they do with every bethseda game.

I do wonder if the games ability to run and run with mods will actually be more smooth on the newer x box s or whatever.

      I completely agree Solomon.

The reaction to valid criticism here is amusing, not my fault if you’re cashing out all over tell you that much, so don’t get pissy just because you got some buyers remorse.

Except for the fact that modding is not a lmeasily” feature as you described it any more than having the power to turn invisible or fly would be in real life. It is an added feature that not only refreshes the game. But vastly improves it with options.

Take into account the restrictions of console modding due to system performance and licensing issues, console modding is a joke.

I think it is time for Bethesda to ditch the PlayStation completely for their future big releases, and just focus on the PC & Xbox. In reality, what Bethesda wants to do with their games, the PlayStation can’t seem to handle.

    • Ironically Bethesda always has game delaying problems on the PlayStation consoles where several other AAA companys seems to make their games work. Coincidence? They always blame Sony for it to which reminds me of an old saying “It’s a poor craftsman that blames his tools”.

      Lol good one

I somehow think that they don’t want to invest time into the PlayStation platform anyway. Was there a feud between them both in the past?

  • Mr Xrat

They just want someone to mod ladders into their mediocre RPGs so they don’t have to do it.

  • i can’t wait for the mods so i can craft ammunition like in new vegas

    • Jane Doe

You can do that now with the Contraptions DLC. It’s got manufacturing for ammo, weapons, etc.

Just play it on PC ,…..peasants..
