If sabre-toothed tigers, mammoths, cannibals and fire-worshippers weren’t enough to convince you to pick up Far Cry: Primal, then maybe the game’s latest trailer will. It’s a live-action short of sorts which showcases exactly what you can expect when travelling in time. Spoiler alert: There are no guns for you there.

Far Cry: Primal will instead focus on spears, arrows and taming wild animals as players fight against two opposing tribes and bolster their own. It’s an interesting twist for the series though many elements – like the open world, crafting and hunting – should be familiar to Far Cry players. Let’s hope Vaas makes an appearance at some point to spice things up.

Far Cry: Primal is heading to PS4 and Xbox One on February 23rd. The PC version gets it on March 1st. What are your thoughts on the live-action trailer? Let us know in the comments, especially if you’re going to pick up the game.
