EA’s FIFA 17 doesn’t just introduce a new story mode called Journey to involve players in the trials and tribulations of Alex Hunter. It’s also innovating its core gameplay on several fundamental levels.

These four levels include Set Piece Rewrite for free kicks, penalties and so on; Physics Play Overhaul will feature the new Pushback Technology to change the way players get physical with each other; an Active Intelligence System; and of course, new attacking techniques to ensure better aggressive play.

FIFA 17 will also feature four legendary Premier League managers, a first for the series and one of them is Jose Mourinho. My knowledge of football is non-existent but I’ll assume he’s a big deal just based on the reaction he received.

Releasing on September 29th for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC, FIFA 17 will be the first game in the series to be developed on Frostbite. What are your thoughts on the gameplay? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information.
