Final Fantasy 15

While we haven’t seen a whole lot of info about Final Fantasy 15 lately, that is going to change when Gamescom kicks off this year. We already knew the game was going to be having a presence at the conference in Germany, but it turns out that presence is going to be bigger than anyone first thought. Turns out Final Fantasy 15 is reportedly going to have a stage demo set up at the conference.  There is even some hope that we might actually get a release date for the long awaited addition to the long running series.

When it comes to Kingdom Hearts 3, we didn’t get a ton of information about what might, or might not be showed off at Gamescom, but we did find out that this game isn’t expected to have any Quick Time Events. Square Enix producer Tetsuya Nomura recently sat down for an interview with Dengeki and talked about the lack of QTEs (otherwise known as Reaction Commands) in this newest iteration in the now trilogy.

“QTE (Quick Time Event. Actions that execute at the touch of a button according to when it displays on screen) isn’t there anymore. For people who have seen the “flashy” battles in Kingdom Hearts II, it felt like there were too many of them when doing these operations.” Nomura said.

The director said that this time, people will need to have good timing when it comes to getting through certain parts of the game. Just how different “timing” events will be compared to Quick Time Events is a bit of a mystery until the game comes out.
