First Halo Reach Multiplayer Beta Gameplay Emerges

The latest episode of GTTV shows some blood-curdling, eye-wateringly cool footage from the multiplayer beta of Halo Reach.

As well as footage, Bungie answers questions on the game such as why there is no dual-wielding, and whether Firefight from ODST will make it into the retail package. Check it out below.

Looks like they want to make sure that the core gameplay doesn’t change too much, not wanting to break ‘What makes Halo Halo’ but the game still looks awesome, with new weapons, armour powers, vehicles, new graphics, ‘a great new technological engine’ and more. You will also be able to record and watch gameplay, and tag videos in-game.

If you are having trouble watching the video, you can watch it in 4 parts from Youtube below.

I’m looking forward to the Beta. ODST was a big disappointment and to be honest, I’ve played so much COD 4 and MW 2 since Halo 3 came out that whenever I go back to a Halo game I feel like I’m walking in molasses and my guns don’t work well. That said, I will be playing the ***** out of the Beta to try to get the feel back and hopefully check the game out this fall.

You list off a bunch of PC games and then ask why Halo got popular. Halo was the first console FPS that had the physics and multiplayer fun of a PC FPS. That’s why. PC games had been doing it for years but Halo brought it to the masses.

You’re right, both those games are very well balanced. I was just saying that classes have the potential to ruin the balance, but it is not necessarily a concrete rule.
