Gears of War 4 Combat and Prologue Praised By Series Creator

Can Gears of War 4 live up to the original trilogy?

Gears of War 4 is being made by an all new team. Given the teething troubles that 343 Industries had when they took custody of Halo, with Halo 4 and The Master Chief Collection, before finally finding their footing with Halo 5: Guardians, there was some understandable trepidation that the new game may not live up to the very high benchmark set by the original trilogy.

However, one person who seems to have given Gears of War 4 the seal of approval, at least, is Cliff Bleszinksi- whom you might know as the guy who created the series in the first place. Posting on Twitter, Bleszinski praised the combat of Gears of War 4, noting that he enjoyed the feel of the shotgun in particular. He also praised the game’s graphical effects, as well as the prologue (which seems to have been generally well received by all fans who have seen it so far as well).

Gears of War 4 is going to launch next week on Xbox One and PCs running Windows 10.
