In a new official blog post, SCE Santa Monica announced that God of War: Ascensions will be seeing a single-player demo in February.

This will finally offer players a chance to try out the revamped mechanics and gameplay for themselves.

“We have more single-player details to unravel and showcase as we rage towards our launch on March 12th. Most importantly, in late February, we’ll be bringing you a full-fledged single player demo! We’ll be announcing details in the coming weeks, so stay tuned,” according to the post.

Set six months after the death of his family, Ascension is a prequel to the main series with Kratos having just broken his oath to Ares – and having to fight through hell just to survive.

SCE Santa Monica has also released a new picture of what the final Collector’s Edition will look like.
