Sony have listed the PS4 version of Grand Theft Auto V as free on the PlayStation Network. This can be seen on the North American PlayStation store where the publisher has marked it as free. Obviously, this is a mistake and expect it to get corrected very soon. In fact, it might already have been corrected as you are reading this.

It seems that someone selected the wrong PSN template as the offer showed the “Check it Out!” message instead of “Pre-Order Now”. If you thinking that you may take advantage of this situation and get the game for free, we have some bad news for you. Doing so will result into a “The content cannot be selected at this time” message.

Grand Theft Auto V is due for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC this Fall. For more on the game check out our hub page here and for differences between last and current gen versions of the game, click here.

I’d rather have a mistake where they put something free on PSN and it wasn’t then charging for demos or 200$ for a dragon add-on map pack for BF4 on Xbox One.
I’m just saying, they’re all mistakes, just fix it and make sure it won’t happen again, and again..
