Grand Theft Auto 5 Sells 2 Million on PC

That comes in about half a month of availability.

GTA 5 PC

It was a long time coming, but when it finally launched, it launched to some impressive success. That impressive success for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V apparently continues as, less than a month in after its release, it has now hit 2 million copies sold.

The numbers, as before, are not quite official- our source for this news is Steamspy, the site that tracks sales on Steam, and has proven to be mostly rather accurate so far. Steamspy also notes that the game launched on April 13, which means that this success has actually come in two weeks- meaning that the game has another 13 days to go to continue posting impressive numbers before its launch month window closes.

As is the case with all Steamspy reported numbers, physical copies, as well as Steam keys bought through third party websites such as Amazon and GMG, do not count. Still, this gives us a rather telling picture into the game’s success on PC- and what it tells us is that Rockstar should definitely not ignore the platform as it did with GTA5 in the future.
