Mods that add new systems to existing games by tacking them onto the framework of the existing mechanics, or mods that completely revamp how a game looks, are fairly uncommon in and of themselves- which is to be expected, given just how much work those assuredly entail. So when we have a mod that does both – revamps the visuals, and completely rewrites the game’s gameplay – it’s something to sit up and take notice of, that’s for sure. Especially when it is done for a game as massive as GTA 5.
But that’s exactly what the new The Pinnacle of V, a new mod that reworks Rockstar’s magnum opus from the ground up, does. The graphics are more saturated, more colorful, going for a brighter, slightly more stylized look than the original. At the same time, it also completely cleans up the game’s textures.
In addition to all of this, The Pinnacle also completely reworks vehicle and weapon handling systems, increases the game’s population count, adds a brand new system to engineer spontaneous gang and police fights on the streets to add an element of emergent gameplay, adds newly destructible scenery, and more.
