Half Life 2: Episode 3 found in the Alien Swarm SDK!

Over at the Steam Forums, a user by the name StickZero has apparently found something really very interesting. He’s found some assets in the Alien Swarm SDK that points towards growing evidence that Half Life 2: Episode 3 is in development. If you open the Alien Swarm SDK, place an info_node_hint and check the hint options you will see Aperture Nest, Blob Brain etc. Take this with a pinch of salt, but this may well be the proof Half Life fans have been waiting for to show that Episode 3 is indeed in development.

    Episode 3 will never come, Valve is smart enough to realize you can’t make an Episodic game come out after so many years. Half-Life 3 will be the next part of the franchise.

    And it’s a safe bet that Valve is working on it now, I wouldn’t put it past those sly dogs to magically come out of nowhere with Half-Life 3 in their hands.

    Portal 2 also has to bridge the gap between the games. Since Gordon and Alyx were about to go to the Borealis before [spoiler removed]. So once Alyx breaks the news to Kleiner and recovers from [spoiler removed] they’ll be off. And with the Borealis being an Aperture Science ship, that means that Half-Life is bridging the gap, and it’s likely that Portal will be it half way.

    lol, honestly if the community has to grasp at straws like this in order to figure out if a game that needs to be developed and should be developed, is BEING developed then its likely not being developed. Got it? lol
