Half Life 3: It’s Happening! (But Not Really)

A hilarious fan-made video sums it all up.

A YouTube user AirplaneRandy created a trippy and altogether hilarious video for Half Life 3. In a way, it calls back to A-Ha’s “Take on Me Video”, with a Steam user being pulled into the magical world of digital downloads by Gabe Newell himself to be given a copy of Half Life 3. Then both are promptly chased away by EA, dressed like Hitler.

What’s not to like?

While we doubt EA will be angry enough with the release of Valve’s long-awaited sequel to threaten Newell with a wrench, the video does reflect just how fervently people still await the third game. It may be in bits and pieces according to some people over at Valve, with no clear story or direction, but whenever we may see it, there’s no doubt that the announcement and subsequent release of Half Life 3 will be some of the biggest events in gaming.

Do you think EA resembles Hitler a little too perfectly? Let us know in the comments below.
