Unless this is an elaborate April Fool’s Day joke by 343 Industries, then you can expect the Castle Map Pack, newest set of DLC maps for Halo 4 to release on Xbox Live on April 1st.

The pack includes three new maps such as Daybreak, a military facility situated in an expansive mountain; Outcast, which features the outdoors and canyons of an alien landscape; and Perdition, a city-like area. ForgeWorld is also rumoured to be returning with the map pack, so there’s also that to look forward to.

We do know that the Castle Map Pack be retailing for 800 Microsoft Points. If you pick up the Wargames Map Pass, you can pick it up along with the Crimson and Majestic map packs for 2000 Microsoft Points. Also, make sure you savour this one, because this will be the third and final map pack for Halo 4.

Maybe that means a newer Halo is closer than we think? It could never hurt to dream, even if it’s wild hallucinating.
