Halo: Reach ‘is Halo 4 in all but name’

Halo: Reach is nearly here. With less than two days to go for the game’s official release (indie UK retailers are already selling it), hype for the game is sky high, and look like the game is meeting the hype. The game has an average Metascore of 93 as of now, and more reviews from weighted sites are yet to come.

For those who wanted, for some strange reason, a fourth Halo instalment, and not a spin-off in Reach’s place, you need not fear- Microsoft themselves believe Halo: Reach is Halo 4 in spirit, gameplay, story- everything but the name. Hmm, so are the 343 guys working on Halo 5? That’d be confusing.

“Halo: Reach is the blockbuster prequel to the franchise – truly Halo 4 in all but name,” said Stephen McGill, Xbox UK Boss. “Reach is set to catapult the Halo franchise forward as the next must have game, representing the culmination of Bungie’s ten years of experience crafting groundbreaking Halo games that have raised expectations for what can be achieved in a videogame.”

McGill also said that he believes Halo: Reach will outsell Call of Duty: Black Ops this autumn.
