Hyrule Warriors

Nintendo has been releasing Hyrule Warriors character trailers in the past several weeks, revealing fan favourites such as Sheik, Darunia and Princess Ruto. Now it seems that there will be a new Nintendo Direct briefing for the game on August 4th and Nintendo is promising “new details”. The presentation will take place at 8 PM PDT/11 PM EDT on Monday.

Hyrule Warriors is developed with Omega Force, the developer behind the Dynasty Warriors series, and Team Ninja, who developed the Ninja Gaiden series. It sees the cast of The Legend of Zelda franchise fighting a war for Hyrule against the forces of darkness. You’ll be hacking, slashing and using magic to defend the land and there will even be a local co-op mode for the game. This allows a second player to use the Gamepad to fight along.

Scheduled to release in Japan this August, Hyrule Warriors will release for the Wii U on September 19th in Europe and September 26th in North America.
